Agatha - Momita

Donation protected
Agatha, Aggie aka Momita born 1926 in Texas, grew up in La Cienega New Mexico and Santa Fe.  She had a spunk for life!  Raised on a ranch, her dream was to dress fancy like her aunt and live anywhere but a ranch!  Mom moved to San Francisco CA in 1966 and never stopped dressing fancy!!  She lived in Oakland for over 50 years where she raised her youngest children.

Aggie had 11 children, 6 sons and 5 daughters.  With 24  grandchildren 67 Great Grandchildren and 43 great great grandchildren.

Momita was full of life, she loved to dance and to sing, put a microphone in her hand and the rest is history.  Her wisdom was greater than any 4 ft 10 ", 100 lb woman should be able to contain.  Her words will always ring within the minds of the many lives she touched.  Motivated to make a change in any environment she entered my mother influenced changes at places of businesses she was employed at to her final group of elders within the Center for Elders' Independence.  I've never walked into a group for the first time where I didn't hear what an impact she made on that group.

While mom was strong and independent, living alone until she was 94 years old, still being able to walk without a cane, hear without aids and wash her own clothes and scrub her shower, with the intent of taking care of her own burial costs, mom's insurances were not sufficient to meet the final needs.

With the funeral and burial scheduled for Oct 16th, donations towards Momita's services are needed by Oct 12th.

Danny Swengel, Aggie's grandson will be in charge of the funds to cover the final expenses.
