OUR STORY
One week ago we found her in the streets of Bogota. She was crying for help, because she was missing 2 teeth, hasn't eaten for days and was in shock. We took her immediately to the veteran and paid the surgery.
After she survived the surgery well, we searched for the owner but no one appeared. So we took the decision to take her in and take care of her until she is feeling better. We created a space for her in our house and named her Agata.
Agata is a stone that represents yin and yang, the 2 major forces in the universe. She is really thankful and gives us a lot of love back. Every day she is feeling better. With Agata we decided to start the program to help animals that need our attention & help, and we named it after our lovely new house cat.
With this crowdfunding, we want to start to collect funds to create this amazing program through the non-profit organization "Adopt Mother Earth". The Foundation also offers programs to protect the Amazonian jungle, recover ancestral knowledge from the local tribes and help building schools for children from the community.
What is AGATA?
We know that there are thousands of animals in the streets of Bogota alone, and the same situation that happened to us happens to hundreds of people daily - they find an animal in the street and want to help - but most of them don't have the place or money to really take care. AGATA is a program that helps exactly these individuals that want to help but don't know how. With AGATA we want to create the possibility for people to find the right support.
How? People that find animals in the streets can bring those to our house and we will take care of the animal and help to find a new owner (or the owner that lost the animal). We will promote the program of adoption through our social media channels and in the house itself. If the person that found the animal wants to take care of it but doesn't have the funds to e.g. take it to the veterinary, we will support him with donations. We will also start to collaborate with shelters in Bogota to help to move the animals that are looking for a home. The idea is that our house can be a reference point for people with a heart for animals.
Here is How YOU can Help:
Every donation will be used to create the program AGATA. It does not matter if it is 1 or 100 Euro - we will receive all you have to give with love - and pass it on to those who really need it.
We will invest the money in:
- create a space in our house for animals of the streets (with bed, food, toilet)
- establish a communication and marketing program on- & offline to promote AGATA and to let people know where they can find support (promoted social media content, posters in the house, flyers)
- start the fund used to pay medical costs (surgeries, sterilisation, vaccine etc.)

Das ist Agata.
Vor einer Woche haben wir sie in den Straßen von Bogota gefunden. Sie weinte um Hilfe, weil ihr zwei Zähne fehlten, sie tagelang nichts gegessen hatte und unter Schock stand. Wir brachten sie sofort zum Tierarzt und bezahlten die Operation die von nöten war. Nachdem sie die Operation gut überstanden hatte, suchten wir nach dem Besitzer, aber niemand erschien. Also beschlossen wir, sie aufzunehmen und auf sie aufzupassen, bis sie sich besser fühlt. Wir haben in unserem Haus "Casa Tierra Encantada" ein Zimmer für sie eingerichtet und sie Agata getauft - Agata ist ein Stein, der Yin und Yang representiert, die beiden Hauptkräfte des Universums. Sie ist unglaublich dankbar und gibt uns viel Liebe zurück, obwohl sie immer noch große Angst hat - wer weiß, welche schrecklichen Ding sie durchleben musste ... Aber mit viel Geduld und Liebe geht es ihr jeden Tag besser.
Aufgrund dieser wundervollen Mietz haben wir beschlossen, ein Programm mit unserer gemeinnützigen Organisation zu starten, um Tieren zu helfen, die unsere Aufmerksamkeit und Hilfe benötigen - und wir benannten dieses nach unserer neuen Hauskatze. Mit AGATA wollen wir Tieren auf der Straße helfen und Tierliebhaber wie uns unterstützen, die sich um diese armen Seelen kümmern wollen.
Was ist AGATA?
Allein in den Straßen von Bogota warten Tausende von Straßentiere auf Hilfe. Die gleiche Situation, die uns widerfahren ist, passiert täglich Hunderten von Menschen - sie finden ein Tier auf der Straße und wollen helfen - aber die meisten von ihnen haben weder den Platz noch das Geld. AGATA ist ein Programm welches die Personen unterstützt, die helfen wollen, aber nicht wissen wie. Mit AGATA wollen wir Tierliebhabern die Möglichkeit geben, die notwenige Unterstützung zu finden.
Wie helfen wir?
Menschen, die ein Tier auf der Straße finden, können dieses zu uns bringen, und wir kümmern uns um das Tier. Außerdem helfen wir dabei, einen neuen Besitzer zu finden (oder den Besitzer, der das Tier verloren hat). Wir werden das Adoptionsprogramm über unsere Social-Media-Kanäle und im Haus selbst erstellen und vermarkten. Wenn die Person, die das Tier gefunden hat, nicht über die Mittel verfügt, um z.B. zum Tierarzt zu bringen, helfen wir mit Spenden. Wir wollen außerdem mit Tierheimen in Bogota zusammenarbeiten, um ein neues Zuhause für die Tiere zu finden. Die Idee ist, dass unser Haus ein Bezugspunkt für Menschen ist, die ein Herz für Tiere haben.
