A-Game Dim Sum Mixer Fundraiser 2022

Donation protected
A-Game is an informal group of Asian American pre-WGA and WGA writers.

Since 2016 A-Game has brought talented AAPI writers together with executives, reps, and showrunners through Zooms, mixers, and lunches. To date, we have put on 30+ events within the last four years with executives from Netflix, Paramount, the CW, Apple TV, Disney, Lionsgate, and many more. Membership is FREE, and these events help writers make the connections to get repped and staffed.

Last year, we raised money for our annual Dim Sum Mixer where writers got to meet and chat with execs over a casual lunch. We're doing that again this year. All additional donations will go to pay for lunches or will be donated to important causes in the names of our guests. Please help lift up a new wave of AAPI creatives!

“A-Game does an incredible job of setting up conversations with agents, managers, producers, and executives looking for Asian-American talent. After one of these events, I followed up with one of the guests who was a lit manager. About three weeks later, I signed with him.” - Eric Loo

"I moved to LA right before the pandemic and, needless to say, found networking incredibly difficult—if not impossible. When I finally was introduced to A-Game, I was blown away at the access the group was able to provide, as well as the supportive community that it fostered among up-and-coming AAPI writers. I've met and gotten read by execs I never would have been able to with one exec liking my writing enough to pass it along to prospective managers.

Given how most fellowships only take on 1 or 2 AAPI writers per year, I believe A-Game does an invaluable job at providing industry access to a much wider, equally deserving pool of talented up-and-coming AAPI writers. I've done a couple of writing fellowships, and A-Game rivals both of them in terms of the connections I've made (and hope to continue to make)." - Albert Wang

"A-Game has been such a blessing as an Asian writer. It's a resource to connect with other creatives in your field, as well as network with people on the 'other side of the table' you might not have the opportunity to come across in your social circle." - Stephen Nolly
