The last four weeks have been incredibly challenging as I watched the woman I love deteriorate into a person I did not recognize. Doctor visit after visit, lab after lab, several ER visits, we were finally admitted to the hospital a week ago with a diagnosis no one wants to hear: Cancer. And as awful as those words are to hear, at least we now know the enemy we are fighting.

I am beyond proud that mom has been courageous through the highs and lows, facing fears head-on, determined to fight. My experiences with a special needs child and as a medical freedom advocate have served me very well in this complex situation. I am thankful for the opportunity and honored to be here with her every step of the way. We serve an enormous God and have total peace in his plan for our lives.
