My name is Steve and I'm trying to raise money for my friend Derrick who's had a tragic accident 5 years ago. I've known Derrick for 10 years and he always gives everyone  a big smile as well as treat you with the utmost respect.

On the day of his accident he went out to his yard to trim some branches. He fell off his ladder and his life changed.He is now paralyzed from the waist down. When he received the news from the doctors, one of the things that hurt him the most was his 4 year old boy, he couldn't play with. He was determined to get better, but 5 years later is still in a wheelchair, not from a lack of his efforts.

Derrick is an awesome guy and puts himself in behind his wife and 2 boys. He's been living on the main floor of his house for 5 years since the accident. He'd rather his son play soccer and other activities than buy a good motorized wheelchair and stair chair so he can go upstairs.

These are probably only some of the things he really needs.  As his friend I'll ask for help from everyone because I dont know what to do, I have to do something.
