Adonay needs our help to remove a brain tumour.
From 8 months of age, Adonay has suffered from debilitating seizures, sometimes several times a day. With an initial diagnosis of epilepsy, doctors in Ethiopia prescribed anti-epilepsy medication but it only worked some of the time. Australian friends of Adonay’s family helped him access an MRI scan which, at age 4, revealed a brain tumour—this is what causes his seizures.
Doctors say that the tumour is operable and, if removed, Adonay will be able to live a normal and happy life, but his doctors in Ethiopia do not have the equipment they need to do the surgery. He needs to travel abroad.
The total cost for Adonay and his mother to travel overseas, have the surgery and receive the post-operative care he needs, is USD 15,000 (or AUD 23,000 or ETB 820,000). The family has limited means and this amount of money seems unattainable.
Please HELP US to send Adonay overseas to access the surgery he needs and live a happy, healthy life!
