Hi, my name is Dion Watkins and I'm a writer, director, producer and graduate of Morehouse College and the University of Southern California's Graduate School of Cinematic Arts. As a filmmaker and storyteller, I blend personal experiences with universal themes to generate work that resonates with a wide variety of audiences. I have helped clients reach over 100 million views on YouTube. As a writer, I have been the copywriter on teams whose work won awards in advertising, including Gold Telly Awards and multiple Addy Awards. I have written for an array of Fortune 500 companies, leading brands and global teams. I've also directed Grammy award-winning artists, and my work has been featured on various networks and in film festivals. In addition, I have won a screenplay competition and fellowship from The Writer's Room 5050 and Level 4 Press about adapting books to the screen. I've worked on productions with the teams of Walden Media, MTV, 20th Century Fox Television and Tyler Perry Studios and this project is a culmination of many of my experiences.
