Jo Davis is one of my dearest friends. I met her 13 years ago when our kids, Zane & Ashley, started Begindergarten at Tobey Elementary in Vicksburg. Jo has a heart of gold and is always thinking of others before herself. When she confided in me about her family’s situation, I knew I wanted and needed to help. After reading their story, I hope you will want to help them too.

Jo Davis and her family have had their lives turned upside down after her husband, Todd, suffered a sudden and debilitating stroke. In an instant, their lives were changed. Todd now faces months of intensive inpatient and outpatient therapies, and while insurance will help with some of the costs, there will still be significant out-of-pocket expenses.

In addition to the medical challenges, their home requires extensive modifications to ensure Todd’s safety when he comes home to continue his recovery journey. As if that weren’t enough, their homeowner’s insurance is requiring them to replace their roof or risk losing coverage.

Their family is facing financial challenges that are just too much to handle alone. I am hoping to rally support for Jo, Todd, and Zane to help at least cover the cost of a new roof and the essential home modifications needed to accommodate Todd’s homecoming.
