After the fire...starting over...AGAIN
FB Family. I am at a loss for words today. January 1, 2022 my son and granddaughter return from playing at the park to find their home and everything they owned consumed by a fire that swept through their apartment. Before even counting the loss, I am so eternally grateful for what was NOT lost in the fire…their lives.
Michael has been a single father since the day Dani was born as mom was diagnosed with an illness rendering her unable to care for Danielle. NBC in Oakland featured them in a documentary based on his struggles as a single black man raising an infant child and defying all odds. (post included)
Michael managed to survive feelings of hopelessness, joblessness, and homelessness, found a good job, created a nurturing home for his baby girl, only to now have to start all over regarding his homelessness and provisions for his baby girl
Many have asked how they can help, thank you and God bless you.
2022 has started out with my son and my granddaughter still alive and healthy...for that I am grateful.
