Aldergrove Minor Baseball is facing a devastating loss from a fire at the park this week. Our batting cage facility—where hundreds of local children train, grow their skills, and build confidence year-round— burnt to the ground and resulted in the loss of critical equipment and contents, including turf, netting, pitching machines, and training gear.
While the building itself is owned by the Township of Langley, the entire interior setup was provided and maintained by Aldergrove Minor Baseball. Years of fundraising, volunteer hours, and community support went into building a safe, functional training space for our players. Unfortunately, that investment has now been lost.
The impact goes beyond equipment. Without access to a properly outfitted facility, our players will lose valuable development time—especially during the off-season and winter months. To continue training and supporting our children, we will now need to rent external training space, creating a significant and unexpected financial burden for our volunteer-run organization.
We are asking for your help to rebuild what was lost:
Replace training equipment
Repair or replace pitching machines
Offset the cost of renting and outfitting an alternate training space so our kids can keep playing and developing year-round
Every donation—no matter the size—helps us get our players back where they belong: learning, training, and loving the game of baseball.
Thank you for supporting Aldergrove Minor Baseball and the young athletes who represent the heart of our community.
