Our Family’s Story

Over the past seven years, our family of seven — two parents and five children, three under the age of ten — has endured a series of unimaginable hardships.

It began when my husband was struck in a hit-and-run accident involving a semi-truck. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and multiple broken vertebrae in his neck and back, leaving him living in debilitating pain daily, but denied disability. 

Not long after the accident, our family’s home burned down. Despite carrying insurance, our claim was denied, leaving us displaced and without support.

After months of searching, we finally found a temporary place to live — but soon after moving in, our family began experiencing unexplained illnesses. We made repeated calls for inspections and assistance, but no one took responsibility. Around Christmas, all seven of us became severely ill and rushed to the emergency room. We found out we had been poisoned by carbon monoxide. While we were fighting to recover, our home was broken into, vandalized, and burglarized — destroying what little we had left.

We were forced to leave once again. Recently, with our insurance case still unresolved, we moved our family into an RV, unfortunately our engine stopped working so we had to move out of it. Now, we are struggling to provide stability for our children as we start over again. 

For over 15 years, we dedicated to caring for children and families in need, even becoming Foster Parents. Helping others has always been our purpose — but now, it’s our family that needs help.

We are humbly asking for support to rebuild what we’ve lost: a safe home, a stable environment for our kids, and a chance to start again. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to safety and healing.
