I’m reaching out from the depths of my heart for my dear friend of over 27 years, whose family is facing an unimaginable storm. His precious daughter, Stephanie Burklow, is a bright, courageous 16-year-old warrior battling Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG), a rare and terminal brain tumor.

Diagnosed at just 15, doctors gave her an average of 8-12 months to live. But Stephanie, with her unyielding spirit and the grace of God, has defied the odds—she just crossed that 12-month mark, a testament to her strength and the power of faith.

From the start, Stephanie’s journey has been one of hope amidst heartbreak. She underwent radiation treatment last November, and we rejoiced as her tumor showed initial shrinkage.

She’s been blessed by the incredible Make-A-Wish Foundation, who wrapped her in love and created moments of joy she’ll cherish forever.

Through it all, Stephanie has inspired everyone around her with her smile, her resilience, and her unwavering faith. In the name of JESUS, we’ve seen miracles in her fight, and we believe more are possible.

But the last few weeks have brought devastating turns. Stephanie’s symptoms have worsened rapidly—her last MRI in early July revealed tumor growth, and just this week, she was placed on oxygen at home to help her breathe.

Adding to the family’s anguish, her mom lost her job on Tuesday, leaving them without a steady income at the worst possible time. With mounting medical needs and daily living expenses piling up, the stress is crushing. No family should have to worry about bills while holding their child’s hand through such pain.
