Hello! We are After Eight Productions, a 9-student film crew from the University of Wisconsin-Madison currently in the pre-production stage of our film "Tuned In."
We are busy planning and prepping ways to make our vision come to life through weekly classes, team meetings, and rehearsals! With support from the Communication Arts Department, filming will begin this March. Our finished film will premiere May 4th, 2024 at the Marquee Theatre in Madison, WI. Now, we are reaching out to you for support to bring our creative dream to fruition and enhance the quality of our project.
In "Tuned In," radio host Jeff's night takes an unexpected turn when Lucy, an avid listener, calls into his show for the first time. What starts as a discussion about their shared love for music evolves into a deeper conversation as the night unfolds. Jeff is left to wonder: Can a real connection form over the airwaves?
We need funds to cover production costs:
- paying actors/actresses and local Madison music artists to use their songs
- set dressing a studio to look like a 2000s radio station
- food for cast and crew
- transportation to off-campus shooting locations
- script, poster, and promotions printing costs
- and more!
