Title: After a Lifetime of Giving, Annie Kudelchuck Needs Our Help

For decades, Annie Kudelchuck has been the heartbeat of our community. Now, after a lifetime of selflessly serving others, she needs us to stand by her side.

Annie is currently facing the immense emotional and financial weight of caring for her husband, George William Kudelchuck Jr., (Bill) who is in his final days. Bill is losing his courageous battle with MDS, a form of blood cancer. Having survived her own battles with cancer, Annie is no stranger to resilience -- but the physical, emotional, and financial toll of Bill’s care has exhausted her resources. It is now our turn to give back to the woman who has given us so much.

Annie’s legacy of service is staggering. She has organized or assisted with over 650 fundraisers throughout her life. As the former owner of

Altone’s Café and Restaurant in Jewett City, she was the first to offer her banquet facility for local causes, often waiving fees and personally donating food and labor to ensure their success. She is perhaps best known for her legendary annual turkey dinner giveaway. Every year, Annie and her team of volunteers collected all the food and then prepared 250 full turkey dinners with all the trimmings in her restaurant kitchen, hand delivering them to neighbors who were homebound or unable to pick them up. Even after selling her business, Annie never stopped. Most recently, she helped collect

and distribute over 250 backpacks for local schoolchildren. In

her "spare" time, she can still be seen delivering surplus baked goods and fresh eggs to elderly residents across our community.

We are turning the tables for Annie so that she may finally be on the receiving end of the kindness she has championed for years. Our goal is to raise funds to help offset mounting medical bills and assist with monthly household expenses. Every dollar brings us closer to our goal.
