After 28 Years, Our Family Business Closed — Help Us Rebuild
Donation protected
Hello everyone, we are the former team of Polka Dot, a beloved family-run business that proudly served our community since 1996.
Polka Dot recently closed its doors permanently. Like many small businesses, we were deeply impacted by the pandemic. Over the past few years, we did everything we could to keep going, but the financial strain became too heavy. In the end, the business simply wasn’t sustainable anymore.
This has been a heartbreaking loss. Polka Dot wasn’t just a workplace — it was our second home. Many of us worked there for years, even decades. We built friendships, shared life’s milestones, and worked hard every day to support one another and serve our customers with care and pride.
With the closure, we now find ourselves suddenly out of work and facing financial hardship. We’re launching this GoFundMe to raise emergency support for our team. Your donations will help cover basic living expenses, job search support, and provide a financial bridge while we try to rebuild our lives.
We know how hard times are for everyone right now, and asking for help is not easy. But even a small donation can make a meaningful difference — helping someone stay in their home, pay a utility bill, or get to a job interview.
Polka Dot may be gone, but the people behind it — the ones who worked hard to keep it running all these years — are still here, doing their best to move forward.
If Polka Dot ever touched your life, or if you simply believe in helping people during tough times, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support.
Please donate, and share this campaign with others who may be able to help. Thank you for reading, sharing, and standing with us!
