I’d like to begin by saying I never imagined I would ever have to ask for help. But as a father and husband, my responsibility is to provide for my family, especially my five-year-old daughter, Zoë, and right now I must swallow my pride and reach out.
For the past two decades, I have dedicated my life to serving communities across British Columbia and beyond. Through my volunteer-led nonprofit, Blanket BC Society, and numerous humanitarian efforts, I have had the privilege of giving warmth, compassion, and dignity to others. My life’s mission has always been to uplift those in need.
I never expected to find myself on the other side of that equation, needing help instead of giving it. I am truly grateful that you are taking a moment to hear my story.
Recently, I unexpectedly lost my job of nearly 17 years which supported my family and allowed me to continue helping others. With a young family and everyday living expenses, this sudden change has placed us in a vulnerable position.
I am working hard every day to grow my small business, and I believe it will thrive. I also have promising job prospects, but they will not begin until the new year. In the meantime, we need a bridge of support to get us through this season.
For 20 years, I have done everything I can to serve my community. Today, I am humbly asking for help as I regroup, rebuild, and move forward with hope. Any contribution, whether financial, sharing this campaign, or simply sending encouragement, would mean more than words can express.
I promise to pay this forward, as I always have.
Thank you for believing in me, my family, and in the work we continue to do. With your help, we will get through this and continue giving warmth to others for years to come.
With humility and gratitude,
Greg Ould & Family
“…we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”
