Sbucks Retaliation and weaponized mental health

After 15 plus years of service I was abruptly let go from my career at starbucks. Many of you already know the story and the injustices faced. I fought hard the last month in hopes of holding the leaders responsible accountable. I filed HR complaints time and time again. I filed appeals to the unfair final corrective actions the company slammed me with out of the blue. I also finally attempted to appeal the ultimate decision to terminate me on false pretenses the day after my medical leave dried up and I was forced to “return to work”. 

With all the excellent humans who have helped me so far I’ve been able to put payments on my apartment, feed myself and my two cats. Put gas in my car. Get to and from important doctors appts. Thankfully therapy is virtual. 

I’ve been working very hard to get to stable ground. 

This year has been hard but starbucks decisions and inabilities to hold leadership accountable for harassment and abused has made my existence hell the past year.

So unfortunately, I’m so close to goal and this last chunk helps me while I wait on other state benefits I’ve applied for. I know most people would just “get a new job” and move on. I am trying. 

Begging folks to understand that I struggle with mental health issues and this has debilitated me in a  way even I’ve never felt. Im trying to survive and I need support. 

Thank you all for what you have done in these days where we’re all struggling. It means a lot and has helped keep me breathing during a difficult time.
