A friend in need is a friend indeed

I chose a specific title for this campaign as I'm attempting to raise money for a friend in need. I decided to open this fundraising campaign in an attempt to help my friend who found herself in an extremely unpleasant and equally unexpected situation. She won't accept money from any of her friends (we tried, to no avail) because she doesn't want to be indebted to her friends, but I suspect it's mainly because she is ashamed she didn't find out what her now ex-husband was up to. Raising money this way should solve the problem, as she will just be filled with gratitude toward people she doesn't know, who had the kindness, heart and generosity to donate.

My friend's husband left her and her two kids with a HUGE amount of debt that none of us had any idea about, or ever suspected. We never had even a vague suspicion that something was amiss, let alone that he was contracting debts for as much money as he did. My friend has a good job, but she has two kids and an enormous amount of litigation to face, on top of this debt of tens of thousands of euros that was only discovered after he literally vanished. While speaking with her, I found out that one of the various loans he signed without telling her can be estinguished with about 4,300 euros. It's certainly not the most of her debt, but this is what she'd have to pay if she just pays it off at once, as opposed to monthly instalments and interest that would make that figure grow consistently. I figured I could try and raise funds for that amount, to at least get her rid of one of the many financial burdens.

I thus decided to open this gofundme page to help her. Please know, I am extremely grateful to any of you who will simply take the time to read this, whether you donate or not.  I am not one to take a "no you can't help me" from a friend in need, so I started thinking, and this looked like the most effective possible solution.

I hope that thanks to your generosity and kindness, we will manage to reach the goal within the next month. Thank you for your time, your kindness and your generosity. There are no words to express gratitude for help received just out of people's generosity and heart. I have myself donated to other campaigns in the past, but I've never found myself in the position of opening one. Hopefully this is as successful as the other campaigns I donated to. Yet again, thank you very much to all of you who even take the time to read this, and to all of you whose heart and generosity will help solve my friend's problem.
