African Youth representation at the Bonn Climate Conference

Hello, our names are Luaya, Ties and Finn and we are the Resilient 40 Europe team.

Resilient 40 is a youth-led initiative bringing African and European climate leaders together to foster equitable and resilient climate action. Together with Resilient 40 Africa network, we aim to amplify underrepresented voices of the Global South in international climate negotiations and processes.

The Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB62), a key preparatory event for COP30, is a crucial platform for shaping climate outcomes. Yet they face major financial and visa barriers to participating in global climate decision-making spaces that directly impact their lives and futures.

Through this fundraising we hope to bring at least 5 youth climate leaders from Africa to participate at the Bonn SB62 conference this year from June 16 - 26, ensuring that Global South perspectives are present in climate dialogues and negotiations.

Our goal: €6,000 by the end of May

This will cover:

-> Flights: €5,000

-> Visa fees/support: €1,000

The Bonn conference shapes the agenda for COP30 and global climate policy. Without youth and Global South voices at the table, climate decisions will continue to overlook the realities of those most affected.
