Help Elias Train to Become Tanzania’s Next TM Teacher

Tax deductible

YOU HELPED HIM TO BEGIN
In 2023, fifty young Africans from East, West, and Southern Africa journeyed to India for the historic 10,000 Course. Your support helped make that possible.

You raised $50,000 and helped spark something lasting.
Among those you helped send was Elias Ng’aboli Ndaserwa, a thoughtful, grounded Maasai leader from northern Tanzania. He returned with a full heart and a clear purpose.

This Year, You Help Him Take the Next Step

Through the Tanzania TM-Teacher Scholarship Program, gifts from supporters like you have continued a tradition that began more than a decade ago when Penina Mollel and Poline Mbawala became the first Tanzanian TM teachers.

Thanks to your generosity, Elias Ng’aboli Ndaserwa, the first Tanzanian accepted for teacher training since the days of Penina Mollel and Poline Mbawala flew to TTC in Thailand on September 29.

With $18,500 needed for tuition, travel, health insurance, and modest family support, your contributions have sustained this scholarship and opened the door for Elias — and for the new generation of teachers who will follow.

Patrick Kinuthia, one of East Africa’s most experienced TM teachers, calls Elias “one of the best candidates I’ve worked with.”

Elias returned transformed with clarity, confidence, and a deeper purpose. In his own words:

“This course has truly made a difference in my life. And I know it will eventually make a difference in the world and on our African continent.

"Through the TM and TM-Sidhi programs, the Maharishi Effect will enhance the influence of coherence and positivity across both our society and our environment.”

He can hardly wait to take the next step to become a certified TM teacher.

Your gift today keeps his training moving forward. It brings the light of coherence home to thousands waiting in Tanzania.

✨ The Moment Is Here
Elias has now begun the five-month Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course in Thailand.

When he returns, he will become one of only three active TM teachers in all of Tanzania — a milestone that carries enormous promise for the future of his country.

Thanks to your generosity, his tuition, travel, and course expenses are already covered. Every gift helped make this possible.

Now we’re focusing on the final stretch, caring for his family and closing the last small gap in course costs. Any funds raised beyond that will roll forward to support Elias as he begins teaching full-time back home, extending the benefit of your donation from training to transformation.

Together, we’re helping him finish his training and begin his life’s work for Tanzania.

More on Elias
We have found Elias a rare kind of leader: he is steady, inquisitive, and already making an impact.

♦️He’s spoken at a Vision 2050 conference, addressing Supreme Court justices of Tanzania on the role TM can play in ethical governance.
♦️He’s introduced TM to university professors, rural elders, and local leaders.
♦️He holds advanced degrees in International Cooperation and Development, and is fluent in Maa, Swahili, and English.

Once certified, Elias and other future candidates from Tanzania will help bring Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation to both Indigenous communities and professionals from the most remote areas of Tanzania to its university classrooms and civic leadership circles.

✅ The Ripple Effect You’re Creating
Your support today strengthens a long-term effort that reaches far beyond one course or candidate.

It’s helping to build a foundation for:

➤ Thousands of future meditators in Tanzania
➤ Maasai and other Indigenous communities who will learn TM
➤ Government leaders open to deeper thinking and ethical service
➤ University students looking for purpose and creativity
➤ A growing network of peacebuilders across East Africa

Proof of What’s Possible:
Over the past decade, Penina Molle and Poline Mbawala, Tanzania’s first TM teachers trained through this same scholarship effort have taught more than 45,000 people to meditate across villages, schools, and communities in Tanzania. Their success shows the scale of what one teacher can set in motion and what your gift today will multiply.

Every contribution, large or small, helps sustain the next teacher in training multiplying the impact you’ve already set in motion.
