Africa missionary family's home away from home

Hello! We are Sal, Heather and girls. Years ago we sold our home in the US so that we could better serve as missionaries abroad. Since we are a volunteer, individually supported missions family (meaning that we have to fundraise to cover 100% of our living and ministry expenses), we felt that the responsible thing to do was to eliminate the maintenance costs of owning a house in the US. 

However, now we face the challenge of providing a stable and healthy home for our children and family when we do find ourselves temporarily in the US, as we are now. To meet this need, we are trying to purchase an RV that will serve as our "home away from home" whenever we are Stateside for training, fundraising or furlough. This will allow us to live and homeschool in a stable environment, even when it is necessary that we travel. It also provides a consistent home in the US for us without the costly maintenance  of a larger property.

We serve full-time as missionaries in East Africa working with refugees and traumatized children and youth. We are the founders of Borderlands International, which you can check out at BorderlandsInternational.org   to learn more about what we do.
