AFJ COVID-19 Vaccine Fund
Tax deductible
On April 7, 2021, the American Friends of Jamaica launched our COVID-19 Vaccine Fund. Our goal is to support the Ministry of Health and Wellness in vaccine deployment across the island.
What we’ve done so far
The AFJ's vaccination initiative was successfully executed at Hopewell Sports Complex in Hanover. A total of 831 first doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were administered, fully using the allotted supply. Second doses were administered at the same venue on July 6th. Being fully vaccinated reduces the chance of contracting COVID-19 by 90% or more.
Our work continues
Today you can make a direct impact by donating to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund. Help support the distribution of life-saving vaccines to communities in need. Let us work together to provide broader, island-wide distribution.
