Afghanistan Refugee family in need

Who this will help

This go fund me is for an Afghanistan refugee family. They are a family of 9 who fled Afghanistan in 2021 and came to the United States seeking refuge. The wife and mother of the family got sick with stomach cancer. She became so ill she was unable to care for herself or her children. Due to the severity of her illness, her husband was advised by her doctor to take time off from his employment to care for her and their children. She has another surgery in March 2024 and doctor's appointments daily.

Why I'm fundraising

Currently, this family has no income and is in great need of financial assistance with their rent, utilities and food. They have 7 children, with their youngest child is 4 years old, and the oldest child is 15. They need assistance until her husband can go back to work and earn an income.

The impact of your support

All the funds will be used to pay their rent, utilities, and purchase of food and basic necessities. This would also alleviate much of the stress that the family is going through and allow them to focus on the wife and mothers' recovery and getting better.

QCAIR is a non-profit organization who helps immigrants and refugees in the Quad Cities access resources. At this time many organizations are low on resources and limited on funding. We are raising funds to help this family. At this time the family does wish to remain anonymous for safety of their family. The picture provided is the family, but their faces have been blurred for their anonymity. QCAIR will not keep any portion of the funds and All money raised will go directly to this family for their bills and basic needs. Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
