Keep At-Risk Women Safe: Emergency Housing Fund
URGENT: Help Us Keep Safe Housing Open Amid U.S. Funding Freeze
An unexpected U.S. government funding freeze has put Team Themis’s safe housing and support program on hold. These programs provide displaced women and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) with life-saving shelter, security, and resources to rebuild their lives.
Without immediate support, these women may lose access to safe housing within weeks. We need your help to bridge this funding gap and keep our doors open.
Our Goal: $50,000 to sustain our safe housing and support programs for the next 4 months.
What Your Donation Supports
$30 – Provides food for one resident for a week.
$100 – Ensures shelter and support services for one woman for a week.
$500 – Sustains critical safe housing for a family for a month.
$1,000 - Flight and travel expenses for resettlement.
Every dollar directly funds emergency shelter, food, and security for at-risk women and children.
Why This Matters Now
On January 24, a U.S. government memo halted foreign aid programs, leaving thousands of humanitarian efforts—including ours—without immediate funding. While we await further guidance, we must act now to ensure no woman loses access to safety.
Without alternative funding, our safe housing program will be forced to shut down within three months.
We’ve supported over 3,000 women and families since our founding, and we refuse to let this funding freeze stop us from continuing our mission.
