Afghan Interpreter finally escaped Taliban rule
Donation protected
Hello Friends, BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): I am requesting your help to provide a car to my recently resettled Afghan Interpreter and his family.
Friends, as you know my Interpreter and his small family are now safe in Fort Worth, Texas. The resettlement organization has put them in a small townhouse. The townhouse is sparsely but adequately furnished. So for now food, shelter and medical are temporarily covered. I spoke to the resettlement volunteer about Abbas’s situation. The volunteer said Abbas has several good things going for him. A small family, friends in the local area and he speaks English. I then asked what was their most pressing need at this time? The volunteer said they need a car so he can find work. There are local charities that sometimes provide cars to resettled people, but there is a long waiting list.
Currently the biggest challenges Abbas faced recently is a reliable mode of transportation in order to find work, go to medical appointments and taking care of his family's daily needs. Without it, he's had to rely on public transportation, which can be time-consuming and unreliable, especially in his current circumstances.
That's why I've decided to reach out to you, my friends, family, and community, for help. I'm starting this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to purchase a reliable car for him and his family. Your support would mean the world to me and would make a tremendous difference in his life.
With your contributions, he'll be able to:
1. Regain his independence: A car will allow him to get to work on time, take his daughter to school, and attend important appointments without the stress of depending on others or public transport.
2. Provide for his family: With reliable transportation, he can better provide for his family's needs and ensure they have a safe and stable environment.
3. Pursue new opportunities: Having a car will open up new job opportunities and educational prospects, allowing him to work towards a brighter future.
Every dollar counts and no contribution is too small. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Your support, in any form, will help get Abbas back on the road to success.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who takes the time to read my story and consider helping Abbas. Together, we can make a real difference in his life, and I promise to pay it forward whenever I can.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me, and for helping him and his family live the American dream, free from Taliban oppression.
Very Respectfully
