ITD Welcomes Afghan Families

The Institute for Training and Development (ITD) opened the doors of the ITD House in historic Amherst, Massachusetts to five newly arrived Afghan families on November 1, 2021. ITD is pleased to welcome these friends and provide them with a safe, comfortable and beautiful environment for the next five months. The large historic mansion will allow them to develop community, and strengthen their network with each other and local residents while they acclimate to new surroundings and prepare for their lives in the United States. Aligned with ITD’s mission, their presence will enrich our community by “sharing cultures, exchanging ideas, deepen our understanding and spreading knowledge.”
Labeled as one of the biggest displacement crises in modern history, your donation will make a difference in the lives of these Afghans. Your compassionate support will help offset the cost of lodging during their five-month stay.
