Becky's story...
Becky's story is very sad, like everyone else's but she is "ours" xx
Just as you think life is perfect, my sister-in-law Becky got the devastating news in early January 2020 that no one ever wants to hear, Breast Cancer! Just as she comes to terms with the C word, the next blow is that it is Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, aggressive and on the move around her body!
Becky was diagnosed at only 37 years old and is married to my brother Robert and they have 2 beautiful children Violet (5) and Quinn (2). As a Mother and Wife we cannot imagine how she must be feeling. Becky's treatment at the moment consists of weekly chemotherapy and regular scans to monitor her disease. The diagnosis is that it's manageable, not curable and the treatment will go on for her lifetime. So to make memories for their family we are trying to raise funds to make life easier. As you must agree this is an awful situation one that none of us want to face.
For that reason us as Family, Friends and Strangers are coming together to help our wonderful family.
We are hosting a fundraising rugby match at Staines Rugby Club on the 2nd May 2020 kick off at 3.30pm. We are playing the English Cancer Crusaders with the help of our 1st team coach Nick who we are most grateful too. Robert used to play for Staines for about 15 years, so the other team are players that have played alongside him and they are coming back as the "Dirty Ducks" and we are touched by how many players want to play. Xxx
Becky is a young, outgoing, hard working, funny, caring and beautiful mummy and wife who deserves a better hand in life than this!!! We are trying to make as many memories and "fun times" by giving them a helping hand. Anyone that knows us really does know that Family does matter xxx You are welcome to join us at Staines Rugby Club on the 2nd May to enjoy the day and to make memories happen xxxx
