Hi! My name is Casey, and I have the privilege of working with these 13 extraordinary students from AFCHS in San Diego, CA. We are embarking on an awesome 8-day trip to TOKYO, JAPAN in March for our yearly international immersion trip. This trip would be an incredible experience for our students. By the numbers...
- 10 students will be getting their first passports
- 11 students will be leaving the U.S./Mexico for the first time in their lives
- 11 students will be taking their first flights
In Japan, students will experience the local Japanese culture and work with local partner organizations who are working toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These students were eligible to go on this trip because they maintained a 3.0 GPA and have over 90% daily attendance for their whole high school careers. Since August, we have been:
- Researching countries and flights
- Planning possible itineraries
- Fundraising on our own to be able to go on the trip
- Working jobs on our own to save for our personal money
Donors will get a thank you letter, will be able to opt-in to daily updates about our journey, and will receive a link to our highlight video once the trip concludes.
