Help Us Find Safety and Peace
My name is Lana, 15 years old, and I live in Gaza. My family and I recently survived the Israeli bombings by the grace of God. We escaped death, but the trauma remains. My two younger brothers, Mohamed and Karim, were filled with fear as rockets rained down around us.
Our story is just one of many in Gaza. For the past nine months, we have been subjected to continuous airstrikes and have been forced to flee our home multiple times. We have lost our source of income and, more painfully, many loved ones. Fear and anxiety have become a part of our everyday life.
It’s heartbreaking to watch your home, the one place where you’ve invested your life to create a safe and secure environment for your family, get destroyed in an instant. Despite these challenges, we are fighting with everything we have to find safety, even as the world around us seems to crumble.
I hope my little brothers never have to endure the pain and loss that we have experienced. Watching the innocence of childhood fade from their faces is devastating. Every child deserves a childhood free of fear and destruction. We deserve to dream, to grow, and to live without the constant terror of war.
Also, my mother has been suffering for a long time from interruption of her menstrual cycle, and as a result of her inability to provide treatment for her, this has led to complications that have caused her severe osteoporosis, in addition to the presence of fibroids in the uterus. She needs to undergo surgery immediately and urgently, but she cannot perform it because she does not have the money. Please help her.
I am reaching out for help to find a place where my brothers can experience the peace and safety that every child deserves. We dream of a life where we can rebuild, heal, and find hope again.
Your support can help us find that safe haven, and bring back the light and joy that has been stolen from us.
Thank you.
