As most of you know, our dear friend Bri is an amazing gift to us all, and a loving, dedicated single mother to her two daughters, Vinie and Kaiya. Bri has recently received the devastating news that she has stage 3 cancer. This means she will be facing chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, and a long healing journey that will keep her from being able to care for herself and her daughters for at least the next year.

Bri’s days have always been centered around Vinie and Kaiya, making sure they have everything they need. As a devoted single mom, she has poured all of her energy into her girls, often putting her own health and needs last, especially since Vinie is autistic and needs extra care and stability. This is why she didn’t prioritize her own symptoms and health needs sooner, like so many loving mothers who give everything to their children.

Now, faced with this serious diagnosis, the family’s ability to meet daily needs is in jeopardy. There’s worry about how to cover rent, groceries, utilities, medical expenses, and all the daily essentials that keep their household running, all while Bri undergoes treatment and focuses on healing.

We are coming together to help ease this enormous burden so Bri can give her full attention to getting well, and so her daughters can remain safe, secure, and cared for during this incredibly challenging time.

Message from Bri to you all: I never imagined I’d be in a place where I’d need to ask for help like this. As a single mom, my biggest fear isn’t about myself — it’s about making sure Vinie and Kaiya are okay, that they still have a stable home and the support they need while I go through treatment. Knowing that friends and loved ones want to step in and help means the world to us. Your kindness allows me to breathe a little easier and truly focus on getting better, so I can keep being the mom they deserve.
