Jade is a 6 year old firecracker who has cancer, she has been fighting since June 2014. She never lets that slow her down. She is doing well most days. She has some learning issues now. Nothing that a lot of extra study time doesnt fix. She is in pain a lot. There are days she doesnt walk. She falls a good bit. She refuses a chair so the days she cant walk she rides in her big ole stroller. She has a laugh that fills the whole house. She likes to dress up and shes so dramatic. She looks at cancer as a job from God and not a storm in her life. She loves all things Disney and WayFM. Wally from the morning show on WAYFM is one of her best riends in the whole world. She has her own language and only 3 people in the world know it. When she hurts she tries so hard to smile for others. She dresses up in Halloween costumes for every hospital/clinic visit in order to make sure the nurses and doctors dont forget her. She speaks her mind. Cancer has taken a kid with neat hand writing who picked up on everything quickly and made her hands hurt so bad they shake when she writes, so her hand writing is terrible and she has to study more than any of her siblings ever did and her memory is horrid. But cancer hasnt taken her joy. She loves so deeply and tries so hard. She is a crazy 6 year old with a strong personality and cancer has made her more determined to make the world around her smile. Her family is a large one. Jade has 2 older brothers, 1 older sister, and 1 younger sister. We are very hopeful that the end of 2016 will bring the end of chemo. There will still be doctors appts and blood draws and tests but she will be one step closer to winning her battle.
