Support Tiffany's Journey to Recovery

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Tiffany, has been fighting the toughest battle of her life. On October 28, she underwent a grueling 14-hour surgery to remove her stomach and esophagus, a necessary procedure that required her intestines to be used as a new food pipe. While we knew this would be a challenging journey, none of us were prepared for the series of complications that followed.

What started as a single surgery quickly spiraled into multiple life-threatening setbacks. Soon after the initial operation, A leak in the new surgical site forced doctors to go back into surgery to address it. Despite their best efforts, her body struggled to adjust, and she has since endured 3-4 additional surgeries to stabilize her condition. Tiffany began having severe breathing issues and had to be placed on a ventilator.

Tiffany has now been hospitalized for over a month, the majority of which was spent heavily sedated in the ICU. Being on a ventilator for so long was not part of the plan, and every day brought new fears and uncertainty. On November 25 doctors were able to remove her from the ventilator—a milestone we celebrated as a step forward in her recovery hoping she can stay off of it from now on.

Even with this progress, the road ahead remains daunting. Tiffany's body is still healing with over 40 staples running from her chest to her stomach, numerous drains to manage fluid buildup, and the addition of an esophagectomy bag on her chest to collect fluids whenever she drinks. She can no longer eat or drink as she once did and now relies solely on a J-tube for nutrition.

Her extended stay in the hospital and prolonged sedation have taken an enormous physical, emotional, and financial toll on her and our family. While we remain hopeful and committed to her care, we cannot do this alone.

We are asking for your help to:

Cover mounting medical bills and expenses that go beyond insurance coverage

Support necessary home care accommodations for her new lifestyle

Offset the financial strain on our family during her extended recovery

Tiffany is a fighter, and her resilience inspires us daily, but she needs a community of support now more than ever.
