My name is Oscar Isaac, and I am a 7th-year medical student in Peru, I have worked and volunteered throughout my studies, but due to financial challenges, I am unable to cover the final tuition fees for my last semester. Without this support, I will not be able to graduate this year.

My Story

I am a medical student in Peru, here medical school takes seven years, but my journey has taken ten. Not because I gave up, but because I had to pause my studies for several years due to financial difficulties. During that time, I worked hard to support myself and save for my education. I have also received help from generous donors and loans that allowed me to return to school and continue pursuing my dream.

Since I was a child, I have dreamed of becoming a physician to serve people in need, especially in underserved and remote communities. Over the last decade, I have dedicated myself to studying, training in hospitals, and volunteering in medical outreach programs. My goal is not only to practice medicine, but to serve with compassion, empathy, and commitment — even in the most challenging places.

Medical school in Peru is long and demanding. It requires seven years of intense study, plus full-time hospital rotations that leave little room for paid work. I have worked whenever possible, translated for foreign medical teams, and participated in community health campaigns — but tuition and living costs are high compared to the average income in my country.

To get this far, I have used every possible resource: I have worked, taken loans, and received donations from kind-hearted people. I stretched every help I received to cover tuition, materials, and living expenses. But now, I have reached the final step and I no longer have any other financial options left.

Why This Is My Last Resort

Without paying for my last semester, I will not be able to graduate this year. That would delay my ability to work as a doctor and to serve the communities I feel called to help. I have exhausted all other possibilities, and this GoFundMe campaign is truly my last resort.

I need $5,000 to cover my final tuition fee. This is the last barrier between me and the dream I have worked so hard to achieve over the past ten years.

Every single contribution, no matter the size, will bring me one step closer to graduating. Thank you for reading my story and for considering being part of this final chapter in my journey.
