In Memory of Jay Popp

Update: June 17, 2023
Hello All,
First, we just want to say a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you who donated to this Go Fund Me for Jay's memorial and services! Through this page and with a generous donation from our aunt and uncle, we were able to meet our goal of $7,000! This helps cover the expenses of cremation and a small family ceremony at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park and Mortuary where Jay's ashes will be laid to rest. Additionally, we would love the opportunity to remember Jay through a Celebration of Life event with friends and family on July 8th at Stonehurst Park, one of Jay's favorite places! Please click on the link below to access the Evite with all the details of the event and to RSVP if you'll be able to make it. Again, from our entire family, thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity. We love and appreciate you all!

Hello Friends and Family,
We are reaching out to ask for some assistance in laying our brother, Jay Popp, to rest. As most of you know, he was a long time resident of the Shadow Hills community and an important part of the neighborhood. Whether he was cruising down Stonehurst in his little truck, mowing a lawn on Fenway, sitting at Bud's Donuts, or walking his pup Trixie at the park, you always knew you'd see him around. He was a friend to many, an older brother to three of us, Todd, Justin, and Meagan, a son to Paula and Randy, a stepson to Terri, a grandson to Marian, a nephew to Sheila and John, a cousin to Holly and Clay. Jay loved those close to him deeply and this is our opportunity to show him the love he deserves by laying him to rest and celebrating a life that ended too soon. Jay lost his battle to lung cancer on April 25, 2023. It happened quickly and now we're trying to make plans and decisions for how to best honor him. We would greatly appreciate any support you are able to provide, whether that be through donations or just sharing this with people who you think may want to donate. Our family truly appreciates the friendship and love you gave to Jay over the years and help you're able to provide now.
With love and gratitude and a big ol' PEACE sign for Jay,
The Popp-Wittek Family
