The Bible says “You Have Not because you ask not”. We are asking for your help. My Husband’s Mom, Linda, passed away Tuesday April 17th which was my Husband, Pete’s birthday.
Linda lived in nursing home care for nearly 12 years. She had a lot of health issues but was among the younger people who go into nursing home care at age 63.
Hospice stepped in in January for the purpose of having additional care, not really because of illness though Linda had Alzheimer’s as well as COPD.
We were notified at the end of February that she may not make it but a few more days, however, she bounced back and was actually doing well. At the time I started researching nursing homes and cemetery’s believing there had to be a less expensive place than all the rest that were charging 10,000 to 15,000!!!
I was right, total cost including cemetery, funeral home, burial plot and casket is 6003.00. What a blessing and I praised God that I had done my homework.
Linda’s passing was very sudden, she had been doing well. With that being said we had saved some money but it wasn’t enough. My husband took out a hardship withdrawal from his 401K, but it’s not enough. Linda didn’t have much in her savings either so we have come up short approximately 2000.00.
Today we realized we will have to push the funeral out for at least a month til we have the remainder of the funds. This is extremely difficult on Pete, as he wants to lay his Mom to rest much sooner. We were planning on having the funeral Tuesday April 24th but we will have to wait.
Linda was from Nashville, TN. and her family has 2 additional burial plots we are trying to sell which are worth 6000.00.

My Husband had no Father, he has no siblings and no other family to help.
