Hi, my name is Amy, and Sharda Outlaw is a classmate and friend of mine. On behalf of her family and loved ones, I am creating this Gofundme to alleviate the financial burden that is to come to Shay’s beautiful family.

 

Shay is a young mother to two beautiful daughters. She is an individual full of beauty, confidence, and intelligence. She was studying Respiratory Therapy at STLCC and was due to graduate this spring. After graduation, her plan was to work as a respiratory therapist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she had worked for years as a patient care technician. She only wanted to help others, and with this Gofundme, you can help her and her family navigate through this difficult time.

 

On the morning of February 21, 2022, Shay became unresponsive after suffering from an asthma attack at her home while getting ready for work. By the next day, she was in critical condition in the intensive care unit on a ventilator. The physicians had declared that she was brain dead, and recommended for her family to withdraw care. On February 24th, Shay passed away.

 

Just like that… a mother, sister, daughter, cousin, girlfriend, friend, and colleague… gone.

 

This Gofundme will help her family with medical and funeral expenses, as well as support her young daughters. Please contribute as much as you’d like. Anything helps.
