Un milagro llamado André

Hello Everyone,

My name is André,

I was born along with my twin brother on January 5th 2018, the doctors said we were healthy and beautiful kids.

My parents were so happy and so few days later we finally went home.

My brother and I used to sleep together all nights. .



Until one day on January 29th when I was only 25 days old, I felt really bad and my parents took me to the hospital.

After several exams and one surgery we came to know that I was born with a congenital rotation in my small intestine which caused it to stop working very quickly. Unfortunately, this is something difficult to detect until is too late.

I had another 4 surgeries and lost 97% of my small intestine, I have been in intensive care in several hospitals ever since.

All people who knows me say that I’m a CHAMPION!!!

Today I’m 4 months old and I need to be feed through a catheter and expulse liquids using a nasogastric tube and because of that I have to live in a hospital.

My parents have been doing a lot of research to improve my condition and my brother is waiting for me. 

I NEED YOUR HELP!


To be able to live I need a small intestine transplant and the treatment related to that procedure, this can’t be done in Guatemala and I have to travel to the U.S. and my parents need a lot of help to gather 1 million US$ to save me.

Help me, I WANT TO LIVE.

Me llamo André.

Nací junto a mi hermano gemelo el 05 de Enero del 2018, los doctores dijeron que éramos unos bebes bastante sanos y muy grandes.

Mis papás estaban muy felices, así que en pocos días, juntos nos fuimos a casa

Mi hermano y yo todas las noches dormíamos JUNTOS.



Hasta el día 29 de Enero, cuando yo tenía 25 días de vida, me puse mal y mis papis me llevaron al hospital.

Después de varios exámenes y 1 operación, mis papis se enteraron que nací con una mal rotación congénita en mi intestino delgado, lo que provocó que mi intestino rápidamente se necrosara, es decir muriera. Lamentablemente es algo que no se puede detectar, hasta que se manifiesta.

Me realizaron 4 operaciones en total y fue inevitable que perdiera el 97% de mi intestino delgado.

Estuve en cuidados intensivos varias semanas y en total he estado en 3 diferentes hospitales.

Todas las personas que me quieren dicen que soy un CAMPEÓN !!!
Hoy tengo 4 meses de edad y debido a que no puedo comer nada, recibo alimentación por la vena (parenteral) por medio de un catéter y por eso ahora vivo en el hospital. También tengo una sonda nasogástrica en mi nariz, que me ayuda a expulsar líquidos que deben salir de mi cuerpo.

Mis papis han investigado y luchado mucho para mejorar mi condición, y mi hermanito me espera.

NECESITO TU AYUDA.



Para poder vivir necesito un trasplante de intestino delgado ademas un tratamiento para recibir dicho trasplante, esto solamente lo realizan en el extranjero y tiene un costo de 1 millón y medio de dólares.
