Support AeroBing This Season

Hey there!

AeroBing Rocketry Research Group is a student-run organization based out of Binghamton University that grants SUNY students real-world opportunities to design, build, and test rockets. As you might imagine, this can be an expensive endeavor, and we are kindly asking for your help in order to keep our club and its incredible mission afloat.

Should you choose to help our team, your contribution may be allocated towards the material costs of our research rockets and testing apparatuses as well as the shipping costs, travel and lodging costs for team members, and rental costs for usage of the FAR (Friends of Amateur Rocketry) launch site. Your contribution will directly influence the experience of our team members and will allow us to grow as engineers, scientists, and students.

An estimated cost breakdown of a California trip to the FAR site to launch this semester’s rocket for eight student attendees is as follows:

Estimated rocket material costs: $5,000

Estimated lodging costs: $1,000

Estimated shipping costs: $1,000

Estimated rental costs FAR: $1,500

Estimated travel costs: $2,500

Estimated vehicle rental costs: $500

Total estimated cost: $11,500
