Help us, Go Fund Me, you’re our only hope: The Aerial Space Squad is raising money to build a new mobile aerial performance platform (parade float)!
We are the Aerial Space Squad, subkrewe of the Krewe of Chewbacchus, a sci-fi inspired Mardi Gras parading group. Each year we roll through the streets of New Orleans atop a trike-drawn pole-on-wheels with a host of incredible aerialist performers in creative cosplay based on all things sci-fi and pop-culture!
But as our Krewe grows, we must expand our stages as well — In order to include as many performers as possible in the 2020 Chewbacchus parade, we are building a second float to follow behind our pole float and provide a NEW aerial experience, the aerial hoop! Hoop is a passion for many of our group and we're excited to share it on the roll, but making and improving a mobile lollipop hoop is an expensive and time consuming process...
The float requires the following items, which your donation will help pay for:
Trike- $200
Trailer - $400
Platform- $300
Hardware for safe attachment - $200
Lights and awesome stuff - $100
Total: $1,200
