Parvo Puppy Needs Help Now!!
Hi all, a lot of you may know me...some of you may not. If you do not, I have been involved with local rescues for awhile and try to step in and help wherever I can. I don’t ask for help because I’m convinced I’m super woman. Well, today i found out I am not. I received a call from one of my good friends Daniella (who is not on social). She was driving through Oklahoma when she stopped at a petting zoo. The people mentioned that they had puppies for adoption and when she went to look at them they were in terrible shape. After about an hour of talking to them and trying to make them understand the puppies needed to see a vet immediately, she was able to convince them to hand them both over and they were both rushed to the vet....and they confirmed what we dreaded, the female is positive for parvo, coccidia and hookworms. Breathing is severely labored and we are not sure what her odds are at this moment in time. The attached is the estimate we received just to admit her. Admitting her to the bet was $995 the high end of the total bill was estimated at around $1775. The amount listed on the go fund me is to cover any extra fees we may incur. In the event we do not have any, leftover funds will be donated to a reputable rescue.
She has a long road ahead of her and is currently fighting for her life at the vets office. The infection is causing yellow pus filled blisters all over her body. I normally don't ever ask for help but we are emptying our own bank accounts in an effort to keep her alive. And the male who tested negative is not out of the woods completely yet. He will need to be monitored to see if he starts showing any symptoms and will then need to be brought back immediately. I am truly at a dead end here and am admitting that I need help, and fast. I have no rescue for these puppies to go to. I have no foster. No adopters. No Plan. I own a transport business and am willing to bring them to any reputable rescue in the Eastern US. Please help us help them. I am at a loss. I don't know what to do. If you cannot donate, please share this
