Hello, my name is Josh Miller, and I'm raising funds to support my dear friends, Rob and Rhiannon Melfi.

Rob and Rhiannon's beautiful baby girl, Aelin Rose, was born on 21st July 2023. Aelin was born several weeks premature, and faced an uphill battle due to a host of health complications.

Aelin was admitted to the NICU at the McMaster Children's Hospital at birth, and that is where she and her parents have spent every day since. Though she is tiny, she is mighty, and she has fought her way through weeks of procedures, and into the hearts of nurses, doctors, friends, and family.

Unfortunately, despite Aelin's determination and the dedication of her health team, Rob and Rhiannon received the devastating news that Aelin would not leave the NICU. It's every parent's worst nightmare, but I have watched my friends comfort, and find solace with each other, while spending as much time as they can with their precious baby girl.

Anyone who knows them, knows that they are some of the kindest people who would help anyone who needed them, never asking for anything in return.

But everyone deserves support during the hardest moments of their lives, which is why I am hoping to raise money to ease the financial strain for my friends. Funds raised will help recover some of the cost of staying close to the hospital, replacing lost wages, and funeral/memorial expenses.

I'm sure many of us cannot imagine the pain and complexity of this grief, but I'm hoping we can rally around Rob and Rhiannon during this challenging time.
