Addison's Army

I am putting this gofund me together for a friends family who had their world turned upside down last week; Addison who will soon be 5 was suddenly and unexpectedly diagnosed with  Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  This is the post from her parents: Thursday evening after a simple lab visit we received a phone call from Addisons PCP to rush up to Upstate Hospital due to abnormal blood work. After further testing, Addison was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This was a shock to all of us that our baby who only had a couple bruises and was a little pal but otherwise completely active and normal had cancer. Our families world has been turned upside down in an instant. Today starts Day 1 of chemo. She has a long road ahead but she is strong and the prognosis looks good. We just ask for as many positive thoughts and prayers as she begins this process. I want to thank all of our family and friends who have known the last day and helped us as much as they can. This road will be even more tricky with Tessa being only 2 years old and not understanding why mommy, daddy, and sissy are not home. Everyone here at upstate has been so nice and fast moving on this. This has been the hardest thing we have ever experienced. Alissa and I are still in shock but have to remain strong for Addison. Please keep her in your thoughts as she kicks this leukemia’s butt!!
