AED TO SAVE A LIFE

Donation protected
I received a call from the school about a month ago, letting me know I needed to get my son to the ER or Urgent Care due to his rate being at 250+. If the school nurse hadn’t known what to do, there was a high chance he could have gone into cardiac arrest. If he would have, THERE IS NO DEFIBRILLATOR at the elementary.
Since then we finally met with a cardiologist and did some tests, he has Wolf Parkinson White Syndrome. He has an extra nerve in the upper part of his heart which is pushing blood in vicious cycle, making his heart rate go up. Every time his heart rate goes up and he can’t slow it down, there is a chance he can go into cardiac arrest. He will be going in for surgery in Salt Lake City, but as of right now we have not gotten a call to get him on their schedule. In the meantime we were told to always know where the defibrillator is in every place we go. And as of right now high activity sports are put on hold. This is also due to us not having access to a defibrillator in case he were to drop during that sport.
This Go Fund Me is so we can hopefully have a defibrillator on hand for a short amount of time, in the hopes that he will have surgery here quickly. After surgery, he won’t need it. Our plan is to donate the defibrillator to his elementary school, Siena Elementary, so that if needed a child or adults life could be saved.

We were told that defibrillators are not at elementary’s because they are not regulated. That blew my mind. I hope to keep fighting for defibrillator‘s in elementary schools quickly.
