Bruno's surgery

Hi my name is Crystal and I have two rescue dogs

It has taken me a couple days to come up with the words for this post.

First off I want to say thank you for the words of encouragement and for the support during this difficult time. For all of you who have donated to save Bruno - I thank you

For those who don't know what happened,unfortunately one of my dogs was hit on the Hwy a few days ago. I am beating myself up as how could of I have allowed this to happen in the first place, trust me I feel beyond terrible for this.

The driver sped away and as my dog yelped the loudest yelp i ever heard all I could do was drop to my knees and cry, but with the support of strangers who saw what happened and came

To aid me and hug me and give me words of love I got my Bruno to the emergency vet, I had support from Bruno's foster mom at the vet and was faced with the decision of what to do. After getting yelled at by the place I adopted Bruno, telling me what a horrible pet owner I was - for allowing this to happen and for also not having pet insurance I felt like an even lower piece of shit, I was told to either put my dog down or surrender him to them and I would never see him again, either way neither option was a good one. The on call vet splinted his leg gave some meds and booked in a $4500.00 surgery for the next day. I went home and cried. How was I going to pay this amount. I am already struggling financially. I applied for financial assistance that night and the next day I got the call that I was approved and my Bruno was able to get the surgery. I am now in debt over $6000.00 but I don't think we can put a price tag on our fur babies. I am thankful and blessed he is still here. He has a road to recovery but I am hopeful he will have a speedy recovery and be back to his big old brute self ❤️‍ thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to my story, please share and thank you thank you thank you to those who have already donated, for those who have given words of encouragement for those who have hugged me and watched me cry, thank you ♥️
