Catalina Island Trip

Donación protegida
The Multicultural Learning Center’s (MLC) Class of 2018 will be traveling to Catalina Island for five days in April 2018 for the science experience of a lifetime. This is the ninth graduating class to attend this special trip and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

At the Catalina Island Marine Institute students learn  island ecology, oceanography, marine biology and have opportunties for teambuilding. They snorkel, kayak, hike, and spend four nights camping in Cherry Cove.  Their teachers chaperone the trip and ensure connections to their learning experiences.

The 8th graders have been together at MLC, a small dual immersion charter school since Kindergarten and have formed close relationships. Together they have learned in two languages, shared many cultural experiences and essentially grown up togehter. This is a very special trip prior to their graduation, one that alumni still talk about!

We appreciate any donation - no matter how small or large. Thank you, in advance, for your support!

The Multicultural Learning Center is a K-8 Dual Immersion Charter School since 2001. Our children learn in Spanish and English and are bilingual and bi-literate by 8th grade.

The school mission is to bring together a diverse community of learners where cultural and individual differences are the building blocks of academic, social, and intra-personal success.

Donations will be received by the Multicultural Learning Center Foundation, a 501(c)(3) California public benefit, non-profit corporation, in support of these initiatives. Donations are tax deductible.
