Lily's Surgery

Donation protected
In mid October 2020, Lily started to displays signs of illness. Wesley and I were able to take her to emergency care (not her primary vet) where they ran blood tests, fecal analysis, and urinalysis. She simply had a UTI. Although the diagnosis didn't sit right with me, we trusted the vet and Lily slowly seemed to recover.
About a month later, Lily began to have chronic vomiting. I made an appointment with her primary vet but due to COVID, there was not much availability. It was about a months wait. In the meantime, I fed her a bland diet consisting of boiled chicken and rice. She started to feel better and we even managed to get her to stop vomiting!
One morning, while I was on my break at work, I FaceTimed Wesley to see how Lily was doing. He went to pick her up and she went into a seizure. Our vet made room for Lily to have an urgent visit. Her vet ran the same tests the emergency vet did and we found out she had high blood pressure (systolic in the low 200s).
To save us some money, they sent us home with anti-nausea and blood pressure medication and a therapeutic diet to see if everything settles. A re-evaluation visit was scheduled for 2 weeks later. 3 days before her re-eval, Lily began vomiting again and we had to increase her dose for the anti-nausea medication for it to work. She wasn't eating and lost interest in all activities and treats.
Yesterday (1/4/21) she had her re-eval and now her blood pressure is managed. This still doesn't explain the vomiting, so they did an abdominal ultrasound. Upon the ultrasound, they found an abnormality in her intestine, a growth. The only way to would know if it is cancerous or not is to do a biopsy.
The vet gave us 3 options:
1) keep her comfortable and on steroids to mask the problem.
2) try to get a tissue sample of the mass using a non-invasively  procedure ($600+) with the possibility of not being able to get a sample.
3) put lily under anesthesia to remove the mass and send it out for a biopsy ($3600+)
#3 is the best solution because the mass will be removed and it will also get sent out for testing.

Lily's vet is optimistic and she has a high chance of survival from the surgery. We fought hard for her brother, Boo, now it's time we fight hard for Lily. Wesley and I understand that Lily is senior dog and this is what comes with age. We have made the tough decision to give Lily a chance, and if by God's grace, another mass or issue appears after this, we will let her go peacefully and comfortably. But for now, we're advocating for Lily's recovery.

We are asking for any donations possible to help our little girl. If you're unable to donate, sharing her GoFundMe page would be more than enough! We want to try and get this out as far as we can for any financial relief.
