I’m reaching out during a difficult and unexpected chapter for my son, Malcolm, and me.

We are currently navigating a legal situation that directly impacts Malcolm’s well-being and stability. I am working with South Carolina Legal Services and taking all appropriate steps to ensure he has proper advocacy and protection throughout this process.

One required step is securing a Guardian ad Litem—an independent professional whose sole responsibility is to represent Malcolm’s best interests. I have found a highly qualified Guardian ad Litem; however, this role must be privately funded, and the cost is more than I can manage on my own right now.

As a parent, my priority has always been to protect, support, and provide stability for my child. Asking for help is not easy for me, but ensuring Malcolm has the advocacy he deserves during this time is essential.

All funds raised will go directly toward legal and advocacy costs related to Malcolm’s care and protection, including the Guardian ad Litem and associated legal expenses.
