Longfellow Middle School has a great tradition of taking a large group of our 8th graders to Yosemite in early May each year. Once there, students learn about the natural beauty and history of the park as well as about themselves as they take on strenuous hikes and team challenges.

Since there's not enough space in the Yosemite program to take the entire 8th grade class, we've decided to plan a series of local adventurous activities for the rest of the group for the same week. These students will sail on a scientific research ship on the bay, learn to rock-climb and explore the outdoors in our own city.

In order to raise enough funds so that everyone can participate in "Adventure Week",  we are working as a team. With this Gofundme account, we are reaching out to our families and extended community to ask for your help so that all 8th graders at our school have the chance to spend a few exciting days with teachers and classmates outside the classroom walls.
