My nephew, Danilo Petrović, was born as the second child following a healthy pregnancy, delivered at term via caesarean section. His postnatal adaptation was somewhat slow, and he required phototherapy due to hyperbilirubinemia. At two months of age, Danilo was diagnosed with Down syndrome (Q90).

Danilo has simple trisomy 21. He is under the care of an ENT specialist for chronic otitis and has bilateral ear ventilation tubes. Adenoid vegetation is also present. Sphincter control has not yet been established. Psychological assessment has revealed a delay in psychomotor development. Danilo participates in physical therapy and specialized educational (defectological) treatments. He is also monitored by an endocrinologist, a cardiologist, and a child psychiatrist due to neurodevelopmental delays.

To support his progress, it is essential to continue speech therapy, specialized educational support, and physical therapy both domestically and abroad.

Given the high costs of these treatments, we kindly appeal for donations from all compassionate individuals.

Funds are needed for physical therapy, specialized educational and speech therapy sessions, laboratory analyses, genetic testing, specialist consultations, and electrostimulation.
