Since 2021, our project has made significant progress in areas of women's health and children's education in four tribal villages of Bankura district, West Bengal. Initially, we started teaching in a temporary shelter and open air. A few of the local unemployed youth, mothers and grandmothers as well as Panchayat leaders also came forward to support this initiative.
Our goal from the beginning was to focus on the quality of education. After much research we decided to follow the famous ‘Filix School of Education’ model and got their support with the curriculum and teachers’ training. Last year we were able to lease land and start construction of a school and by end of year we were successful in building a beautiful traditional Mud-framed School Building. We believe that lack of preparation and readiness prior to these children entering the traditional school system leads to increased dropouts. The quest for education needs to be ignited in the early stages of life. Our school provides pre-school education for the age group 3–5-year-olds as well as an after-school program for 6–8-year-olds.

Along with the education of children, we have ignited a strong movement for health and healthy lifestyle among the villagers. Just like any society, tribal women hold the key for the health of their family members. In tribal villages, women work hard both outside and in the house. Unfortunately, their own health is often not prioritized.

There is also a lot of taboo related to many specific women's health issues. Through regular awareness programs, we have popularized the use of Sanitary Napkins and implemented necessary sanitation practices. Our community health workers trained by nursing staff and physicians helping to educate women in preventing as well as early identification of cervical and breast cancer and other diseases.

Our small group sessions with adolescent and young girls also strive to empower and educate them so that they can have healthy and productive future.

Our goal is not to duplicate but to create a holistic program to maintain women's health and promote a sense of well-being in young adolescent girls.

We strongly believe that women empowerment brings good for the family and society.
Standing on the brink of such a transformative step, we plan on constructing a Building for “Training and Production center”. This building is envisioned as the center for empowerment of tribal women.

We greatly appreciate your support in constructing this vital building. Your contribution will not only create a space but also pave the way for the empowerment of tribal women, as well as enable their children to learn, grow and contribute to the world.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause, that means so much to us.
